"For many years now I have been complaining that I am sick of wearing eye glasses and was always interested in getting contacts but was extremely skeptical to go ahead and actually do it. I heard that Newton Optica was open and decided to give them a chance because it was a conveniently located close to the T. Let me tell you, there friendly staff and knowledgeable doctor took all that skepticism away. I have been wearing contacts everyday now for about two weeks and I am mad at myself for waiting this long to get contacts. The Doctor was very patient with me and went over how to properly place the contacts in my eyes even though I was struggling with it for quit a bit. "I have been wearing reading glasses for many years. It always takes me a long time to find the right pair because I like unique glasses. If I have to wear something on my face, it has to be fashionable and stylish. I saw a grand opening ad for Newton Optica and decided to check it out. After all, it is a 5 minute drive from Brookline. When I pulled up I was surprised to see a parking lot (not too many of those in the city). I came in and right away a young gentleman offered to help me. WOW. What a beautiful selection of glasses; I ended up with two: Lafont and Alain Mikli (yes, French and not cheap). I just couldn't resist...it's my face we are talking about.

Dr. Vilkomir knows her trade inside and out, she is gentle when examining your eyes (especially important to people with highly sensitive eyes like myself), and she is a genuinely pleasant doctor. She will explain every aspect of your eye exam to you and answer any and all questions that you may have. Not only does she do the eye exam but she takes the time to help you pick out a frame that fits you perfectly and she has a great taste in style (her inventory speaks for itself). Newton Optica stocks Prada, Gucci, Ray Ban, Armani, Juicy, and many more. And the prices are very affordable!!! You will not break the bank buying glasses and/or contact lenses at Newton Optica. "I have had to wear glasses for many years now and dread to go get my eyes checked, as I cannot stand having to go through the process of an eye exam and then having to buy a new pair of glasses.
That is until I went to Newton Optica. The outstanding doctor, Dr. Vilkomir, was very professional and at the same time very courteous in making sure I understood what was being done and why. She took the time to explain to me what was wrong and recommended a few ways that could help me with my eye problems.
After an incredibly warm and pleasant eye exam I found myself in the extremely capable hands of the great staff who were more than eager to help me find the perfect pair of glasses for me.
The selections were vast and amazing as the frames ranged from completely conservative to sheik and modern and available in all price ranges. The staff took the time to explain all the different brands and made recommendations to me about what they felt would look and feel good for me.
I have never been to a place like this before as it felt like the staff was there for me and only me. They took the time and effort to make sure that I was happy and 100% sure of my purchase. I will never go to another place for my Optometry needs and I recommend that you check it out as well. "
